PearlSnow, PearlSlide, DreamSnow, DreamSlide and PearlTile are the ultimate synthetic snow solutions for skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and more. Follow these step-by-step instructions to properly install your PearlSnow product and enjoy a high-quality snow experience year-round.
Step 1: Preparation of subsoil
Level the soil layer and remove stones and obstacles. It is essential to compact and reinforce the soil layer after leveling.
Use "geo-grid" and a gravel layer to reinforce the leveled soil layer if necessary.
Consult with relevant project engineering companies to create a stable and compact soil layer of the slope to prevent landslips and other dangers influencing the safety of the ski slope.
Step 2: Water drainage
Due to the misting system on the slope and rainwater, there will be continuous water created.
After creating the stabilized soil layer foundation, it is essential to use the waterproof membrane to prevent water from permeating the soil layer and causing instability.
Lay the waterproof membrane and dig a drainage pipe with gravel every 10 meters to drain away water that comes from the surface of the PearlSnow.
Install them in a straight line and put marks on the sides so that you won't destroy the pipes when pins are hammered to anchor the PearlSnow.
Water can be reused in the misting spray device after being collected and filtered.
Consult with relevant engineering companies to make arrangements in dewatering and drainage.
Step 3: Geo-Non woven fabric layer
Lay out the geo-non woven fabric to create a clean surface for PearlSnow ski mat to attach.
Step 4: Installation of the product
Before using screws to fix, make sure that the installation gap is kept according to the suggested installation temperature in the length and width direction for PearlSnow and PearlSlide, reference on the above chart.
The attaching and fixing tool is different according to different sub-base material.
Compact Soil base:
On the compact soil base, use 30cm length screw pins to fix, normally every 1m or 1.5m or 3m use 1 pin, depending on the sub base compact level and contour.
For PearlSnow and PearlSlide, there is an additional option of Velcro hooks attach on the edge, so it is convenient to attach PearlSnow to the geo-non woven fabric before using the screw pins.
For the PearlTile, if the soil ground is not so flattened, use a 1.1m length, 40cm width wooden board to lay under the PearlTile interlocking position, so the tile can interlock on the flattened and stiff surface, then use 30cm length screw pins to fix to the soil ground.
Wooden base:
Wooden base also needs to lay the waterproof membrane to handle the water drainage and needs to take care to leave the gap between the wooden sheet to prevent shrinkage and expansion problems.
After that, lay on the geo-non woven fabric, then use the tapping screw length 30 mm to fix on the wooden base.

Metal board base:
Metal board base also needs to lay the waterproof membrane to handle the water drainage.
After that, lay on the geo-non woven fabric, then use the drilling tail tapping screw length 30 mm to fix on the metal board base.
Cement base:
For cement base, also needs to lay the waterproof membrane to handle the water drainage.
Lay down the geogrid nonwoven and install the DreamSnow, PearlSnow or PearlSlide on top with plugs and screws (5 cm long) at least 10 pc/m².
