What they say:
“We have installed the mat on the bridge of our Combe de Jaman ski lift. It looks good and works well” — Nicolas Rouzé, Technical and Operations Manager, SID

At Dent de Jaman in Montreux, Switzerland, PearlSnow is used to address a specific challenge on the Combe de Jaman ski lift: a bridge where a snow groomer cannot push snow into place or prepare the surface.
Although it covers only a small section of the lift route, this crossing needs a suitable surface for skiers to pass over. The team installed PearlSnow on the bridge to provide a skiable surface where conventional snow preparation is not possible.
The application shows how artificial ski surfaces can support the everyday infrastructure of a winter ski area. Here, PearlSnow serves a targeted purpose within an existing lift installation, providing a surface that can be skied on without requiring a groomed layer of snow across the bridge.
What makes PearlSnow relevant to this location is its ability to provide glide where maintaining snow cover is difficult. By addressing this particular crossing, the installation demonstrates how a relatively small area of material can solve a practical challenge along a lift route.
From lift access points to connecting sections, the Dent de Jaman project illustrates an additional use for PearlSnow: supporting skiing in places that snow grooming equipment cannot reach.
