Product description

PearlSnow is the all-round performance surface for year-round skiing and snowboarding - from beginner areas to professional training zones.

Designed as the most versatile product in the Pearl range, it performs reliably in every environment, indoors or outdoors, warm or cold. Its integrated
BulbSet Technology enhances acceleration and directional stability, giving riders the smooth, predictable sensation of freshly groomed snow with a naturally developed glide.

With balanced speed, edge control, and comfort, PearlSnow is the go-to choice for resorts, ski schools, and training facilities seeking the perfect blend of realism, durability, and all-weather reliability.

Construction & technology

PearlSnow is built with a snow-like base layer featuring a smooth brush texture that creates a natural riding feel. It incorporates our advanced Pearl BulbSet Technology, a precision grid of rounded “pearls” that minimizes drag, enhances glide, and improves directional control. The unique bulb geometry provides smooth acceleration, stable performance at high speeds, and controlled braking when required, giving both operators and riders a predictable snow-like experience. The surface is made from ultra-durable UV-resistant polymer for year-round use and is available in white, with custom colors offered on request.

Installation

PearlSnow uses a 3 m² modular panel system that makes layout and replacement simple. The panels adapt easily to common sub-bases such as compacted ground, decking, or platforms. For best results, we recommend using a geotextile or root barrier underlay, since a firm, level base improves long-term stability and prevents bulging. Individual tiles can be swapped when needed, allowing facilities to keep slopes open with minimal downtime.

Maintanance

PearlSnow requires only minimal care to stay in top condition. Regular brushing and occasional inspections are enough to keep the surface clean and performing at speed. In warm or dry conditions, light lubrication such as misting or an eco slide agent helps maintain consistent glide and reduces wear. With proper upkeep, PearlSnow provides many seasons of reliable recreational use.

Sustainability

PearlSnow avoids snowmaking, grooming and chemical use, cutting water/energy demand and operational CO₂.

Its long service life and low upkeep make it a cost-efficient, lower-footprint option for tubing and leisure zones.

Frequently asked questions

What is PearlSnow?

PearlSnow is a next-generation synthetic snow surface engineered to replicate the feel and performance of real snow, without melting or seasonal limits. It can be used worldwide for skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and recreational attractions.

How is PearlSnow different from other dry slopes?

Most traditional dry slopes use stiff brushes or carpet-like mats that can feel harsh, inconsistent, or slow. PearlSnow is engineered differently. It combines a smooth glide surface with controlled grip, giving skiers and snowboarders a natural edge feel and predictable speed, even in warm or wet conditions.

Its unique material blend reduces friction, wear, and maintenance while staying gentle on skis, boards, and riders. The result is a surface that feels more like snow: carve in when you want to, forgiving when you need it.

Is PearlSnow safe for beginners and children?

Yes! PearlSnow is designed from the ground up to be safe, comfortable, and confidence-building for users of all ages.

Unlike older dry-slope systems that could feel harsh or unpredictable, PearlSnow provides a controlled and forgiving glide that allows beginners to focus on technique instead of balance recovery.

Every detail of the surface has been tested to support safe learning:

- Progressive grip and glide: The texture provides reliable edge hold for beginners while maintaining a smooth, natural slide for experienced riders.

- Shock-absorbing base: Optional under-layers reduce impact during falls, especially valuable for ski schools and children’s areas.

- Predictable speed control: Users gain real “snow feel” without needing steep slope angles or huge amounts of lubrication.

Instructors often tell us that children and first-time skiers learn faster on PearlSnow because they build confidence quickly and like to repeat exercises, while also learn how to ride technically correct.

How long does PearlSnow lasts?

PearlSnow is built for durability and long-lasting performance.

Its lifespan depends mainly on how frequently it’s used and how it’s maintained. The material is UV-stable, weather-resistant, and engineered to handle thousands of runs each season without a noticeable loss in glide performance.

For activities such as skiing and snowboarding, sharp edges can gradually affect the surface texture over time. Thanks to the modular 3 m² panel system, these high-wear areas can be replaced individually — quickly and without downtime.

By experience, about 5–15% of a slope surface typically needs replacement every 1–2 years, mainly in the most heavily used zones such as take-offs and braking areas.

For tubing and other low-impact activities, wear is minimal, and the surface remains fully functional for many years with only basic maintenance.

How does PearlSnow performs in different climates?

PearlSnow is developed to perform consistently in a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions, from freezing mountain air to sunny coastal resorts.

In cold or frosty conditions, the surface maintains its flexibility and grip, preventing the “brittle” feel common in older plastics.
In warm or dry weather, glide speed can increase slightly on steep slopes or decrease on flat zones, but this can easily be fine-tuned with adjusted slope angles or a light application of eco slide agent.

The material is UV-stabilized, water-draining, and non-slip so it stays durable and predictable, even after years of outdoor exposure.

In short: PearlSnow adapts to your environment instead of the other way around.
